Editores associados da Revista de Economia e Sociologia Rural: eficiência e eficácia no processo editorial

Abstract

This study aims to present in detail the key outcomes achieved by the Journal of Rural Economics and Sociology (RESR) after introducing the institutional role of “Associate Editor” into its editorial workflow. The findings indicate a reduction in evaluation times and enhanced management control over the editorial process by those responsible for reviewing each submission. Additionally, this change has facilitated the journal’s modernization regarding efficiency, effectiveness, and synergy within the editorial process. It has also strengthened collaboration among researchers from various national and international institutions serving on the editorial scientific committee. These improvements have contributed to the enhancement of the journal’s Qualis CAPES rating during the most recent quadrennial period (2017-2020).
