Especiaria – Cadernos de Ciências Humanas: perspectivas futuras de uma revista científica

Abstract

This communication explores the future perspectives of Revista Especiaria, one of the oldest journals of the Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz (UESC). Inserted in the “Historical” axis, the approach aims to create a record of the past and serve as a guide for the future. The historical aspects of the journal, highlighting key milestones and important editions, and future perspectives, including strategies, innovations, and dissemination of knowledge in the Humanities, will be discussed. The objective is to demonstrate that managing scientific journals in public universities requires resilience and dedication, and that the challenges faced by editors can be overcome by understanding the reality of other scientific journals
