Abstract

This article reports on the development of the open-access digital library for SBC conference proceedings, SBC Open Library, from the identification of the need to the adaptation of the Open Journal Systems (OJS) software. The research, applied in nature with a qualitative approach and descriptive objective, utilizes bibliographic and documentary data. The study describes SBC's historical journey from its founding to the present day, culminating in the design of the editorial workflow applied to the conference proceedings. SOL stands out as an essential tool for the dissemination of scientific information generated within the scope of SBC events. This report also serves as a guide for other scientific societies by sharing the trajectory and measures adopted for the development of the library.
