The study adopts a quantitative and descriptive approach to analyze the extent to which Brazilian scientific journals comply with the editorial quality criteria required by Latindex's Catalog 2.0. The data were obtained from the evaluation forms available in each journal’s record and cover all assessments conducted between 2018 and 2025. The results indicate that, despite the high number of rejections, the journals analyzed show a high overall rate of compliance with the criteria. It is hypothesized that the rejections are concentrated in the failure to meet specific criteria, whose identification may contribute to improving editorial quality and enabling more journals to be included in Catalog 2.0.
