Abstract

In this paper, we present a brief history of Polyphonía Magazine, of Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG). Created as “Solta a Voz”, in the 1980s, it was a teacher’s bulletin from the College of Application of UFG. In 1990 it became an academic journal. With the intention of making it a reference publication in the area of education, in the 2010’s, it is reformulated, starting to be called Polyphonía. Organized in the form of thematic dossiers, this journal, today, is linked to the Postgraduate Program in Teaching in Basic Education. It aims to be a spot for scientific dissemination, contributing to the training of teachers and researchers, as well as to the improvement of the Brazilian Public Schools.
